Linearis.ai ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our platform at linearis.ai and its associated services. By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data: Account data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash). If you are part of an organization, we may also collect your company name and job title. Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, session duration, IP address, browser type, and device information. This data is collected through server logs and first-party analytics. Document data: When you upload documents for translation, the content of those documents is processed by our systems. We treat uploaded document content as confidential. We do not use your document content to train our models without explicit written consent.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to: • Provide and operate the Linearis.ai service • Process and return document translations • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing) • Send product updates and announcements (you may opt out at any time) • Analyze usage patterns to improve the platform • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany) operated by Amazon Web Services. We implement industry-standard security measures including: • TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit • AES-256 encryption for data at rest • Role-based access controls limiting employee access to production data • Regular security audits and penetration testing • 90-day automated deletion of uploaded documents after project closure (unless you choose to retain them) No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware of a data breach that affects your personal data, in accordance with GDPR Article 33.

5. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data: • Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you • Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten") • Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format • Right to restrict processing: Ask us to limit how we use your data • Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@linearis.ai. 6. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies: Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the platform to function (session management, authentication). These cannot be disabled. Analytics cookies: First-party analytics to understand how users interact with our platform. No third-party tracking cookies are used. You may opt out via your account settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: • Amazon Web Services (AWS): Cloud infrastructure and storage • Stripe: Payment processing (we do not store payment card data ourselves) • Postmark: Transactional email delivery We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function. All sub-processors are bound by data processing agreements consistent with GDPR requirements.
